Being in the computer programming and analysis program at Fanshawe College is imperative for my development of being a tech entrepreneur, founder, and software wiz. A couple of blogs ago, I spoke on software development and being a software developer, but today I want to speak on web development and how websites have had an impact on the business world.

Before I go into what web development is, let's go into some facts as to why web development is actually important in today's age and how businesses are thriving through website development. I remember being in the Leap Junction business accelerator program for Fanshawe College last year and the first thing we had to do was build a website for our brand presence. I remember our mentors stating that it's cool to have a product or service, but in order for someone to find you, you must be searchable online.

Here's an important quote about having a website that BDC Consultant Chris O'Shea said in an interview, he stated "In today's world, the internet is how people research what to buy and whom to buy from. A bad website—or even worse, none at all—will make people think twice about giving you their money. A good site is absolutely essential."

This is another reason why I created this technology blog because I want people to hear about my work, research, and honestly grow my online presence to industry professionals in technology. With a website, even though it costs its important to establish an online presence to build rapport with prospective professionals, so people can be engaged with my content and stay informed as to what I have coming up and so I can start positioning myself for jobs, future business ideas, or even future business partners as well.
