Forest City, London, Ontario is one of the rising tech markets in North America, and it's due to the simplistic fact that there is so much innovation happening here. Year by year, the talent pool is getting deeper, more students are interested in landing tech careers and the companies are growing exponentially. Being in London, as I said in the past has been phenomenal for me and it has influenced my decision to start a tech career because of all of the innovations, ventures, companies which are doing amazing things here.

According to an article by CBC (https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/london/q-a-london-has-buzz-in-the-tech-economy-but-now-city-hall-has-to-capitalize-on-it-1.6931956), ranks 8th in North America from emerging from 10th last year by CBRE. One reason being is because of the schools of Western University and Fanshawe College which are phenomenal schools for their technological prowess. Ivey business school at Western University is actually helping a lot of technology based ideas have attractive business models leading to a lot of success in the tech industry for London, Ontario. There is a lot of success brewing in the city of London for technology also because of the innovative tech companies which are scaling on a consistent basis.

As well as an article by Tech Talent Canada, they speak on how the city of London has a vast amount of growth in the Technology sector. As stated in the article London has strengths in "information communications technology, digital media, software as a service, game development, and fintech." Companies, such as Northern Commerce, Big Blue Bubble, Digitial Extremes, Interval, Paystone, Mobials, Carfax Canada, etc. are all companies which are showcasing the diverse technological assets the city of London possesses.

This is one of the reasons why I created RK Tech and this blog to speak on the importance of the growing technology sector in London, Ontario. For my program, I am going to have three co-op terms and I need to successfully acquire them in order to enhance my professional and scholastic career, which is why I am documenting my journey and providing thought leadership.
